The boutique design house — small slate, larger budgets per square foot, and interiors that are the actual selling point.
Ellington Properties was founded in Dubai in 2014 by Robert Booth — formerly of the Meraas leadership — with a brief to build a design-led, boutique residential developer.
Ellington’s project list is smaller than the volume developers by design. The signature is consistent: mid-rise residential in prime and emerging-prime districts (Business Bay, MBR City, Dubai Hills, Palm Jumeirah, JVC), interiors handled with a hand that reads more like a hospitality brand than a property company, and finish levels above the mid-market average.
For our buyers it sits in a useful slot — priced under the legacy developers, but with a design language that resells well to a discerning end-user. The risk is scarcity: when Ellington launches a strong floorplate, the better units typically clear in the first release.
