Founded in 2007 to build what Dubai didn't yet have.

Meraas was created with a different brief from Dubai's first generation of developers: instead of building new land, redefine the use of land Dubai already had. The result has been a portfolio of urban districts that read more like European city quarters than gated communities — pedestrianised, retail-led, design-coordinated.
Bluewaters Island anchors the western coastline, with the Ain Dubai observation wheel and a coordinated residential, hospitality and retail mix. City Walk re-zoned a stretch of Jumeirah Beach Road into a 10-hectare boulevard quarter. La Mer and Port de la Mer brought waterfront promenade life to Jumeirah’s older shore.
Inland, Madinat Jumeirah Living and Nad Al Sheba Gardens deliver low-density family residential within walking distance of older Dubai institutions. The company joined Dubai Holding in 2020, consolidating its destination-development mandate within the wider group. Current expansion focuses on Dubai Design District residential, City Walk Northline, and the Bvlgari Lighthouse residences off Jumeirah Bay.
