Business Bay is a central mixed-use urban district in Dubai developed as part of the city’s strategic expansion in the early 2000s. It lies directly south of Downtown Dubai along Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) and borders the Dubai Water Canal, with fast connectivity to key areas including Dubai International Financial Centre, DIFC, and major transport links such as the Dubai Metro.
The area hosts a blend of residential towers, commercial skyscrapers, hotels, and retail developments. While Emaar Properties remains a major influence in the broader corridor, Business Bay’s skyline has also been shaped by other prominent developers like DAMAC Properties and Binghatti Developers. These developers have delivered both established high-rise complexes and new premium launches that enhance the district’s appeal and diversity.
Business Bay’s skyline includes both classic and recent landmark towers, such as O2 Tower, Churchill Towers, and The Opus. Recent and upcoming major projects include Binghatti Skyrise — a luxury waterfront trio of 48-storey towers set for delivery around 2026 — which is reshaping the Business Bay skyline with contemporary architectural crowns and canal views.
Another high-profile supertall development under construction is the Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences, planned to rise over 550 m with more than 100 floors, positioning it among the tallest residential buildings in Dubai once completed.
In addition to residential launches, Business Bay is also home to well-established mixed-use complexes such as Al Habtoor City, which combines luxury living with hospitality and entertainment facilities along the canal.
